Yea, I have one, it makes a great egg timer! Had her for 2+ years now. BTW, it is a great regatta timer also if you boat race. The all ss is all you really need, no bling required. Remember your in the ocean, fish care less.

There are far more painstakingly intricate & beautiful custom knives on the market, but I've never owned a Shiro that disappointed in *any* capacity, most of those knives in the under-1200$ category. Given the quality, I've remained a Shirogorov fan & proselyte, and I keep threatening to take the plunge on a Semi-Custom (as opposed to High-end Production) model. Form follows function, and aesthetics follow form.

I love the way he did the liner-lock; he cut down deeper, so the top lip of the liner is affixed securely, & doesn't move until you reach the thumb-notch, so only the thumb-notch appears to push under the blade at top, instead of the entire liner length from the tension notches up. The liner strip is done with two long cuts, down lower to be less visible. It provides more stability for the mammoth scale, and it looks fantastic; usually, it's just the scale material providing a lip after being hollowed out the depth of the liner, with the lip removed at the top for access. That's clever. I know I must've seen it before, but it's the first time I've noticed someone do it. If it IS Cody's innovation... well done. If it isn't... well done. That's one of the finest mammoth & Damascus folders I've seen.

Just gorgeous. That Reitveld Dragonskin looks beautiful with the mokume; unlike Timascus/Moku-Ti anodization, the color in mokume shouldn't rub off & fade after frequent use, making it a bit safer to carry..

Stunning piece!

Yeah, it's a 'tactical' knife & all, but I bet the original owner was kicking himself after dropping the change & keys into the same pocket this work of art was stored in. It's a bit like opening the door of a Ferrari into a signpost (I'm guessing). That said, the scratches aren't bad enough to detract from the brilliance of the design, execution & presentation. That's a work of art in steel & titanium.

The blade steel isn’t Damasteel. Damasteel is a a high performing, powdered, stainless Damascus. Looking at the COA it appears the Damascus is made of of (3) different types of steel which are: 14C27, 302 & D2 ***The 14C27 is a Sanvik steel (stainless). ***The 302 is a stainless steel as well ***The D2 is a high carbon tool steel With the 14c27 & 302 being a stainless & the D2 being a high carbon steel I would feel comfortable taking an educated guess that with most of the composition being stainless, the addition of the D2 also being a property of this particular damascus composition, the blade isn’t quite a true stainless Damascus because of the D2 which will need to be taken care of accordingly. Nice piece, reminds me of what a custom CRK Sebenza. 🤙

Shirogorov tends to use a stainless steel lock-insert for a steel on steel lock-interface but it also incorporates the over-travel tab & the ceramic detent within the same s/s interface. It’s one piece doing 3 things & it’s replaceable as well. I realize this is a custom division but a lot of premium production companies use the stainless steel lock face insert/over-travel tab/ceramic detent in one replaceable piece which is a smart way to incorporate 3 duties into 1 piece of hardware. Some companies actually give you an extra s/s lock interface/over-travel tab/ceramic detent in many hi end production models. Cool piece
